About Wire Shelving

Our modular wire shelving is manufactured to meet the highest standards and can be used for a wide range of storage applications. It assembles in minutes and can change as quickly as your needs change. By using various accessories, hundreds of shelving configurations become possible.

Features:
  • The open wire design of these shelves minimizes dust accumulation and allows free circulation of air, greater visibility of stored items, and greater penetration of light.
  • Wire shelving is often used in restaurant, food service and health care applications due to its ability to stay clean and resist rust and mold.
  • Wire shelving is also excellent in areas where fire prevention is important because it is inflammable and its open design allows sprinkler systems to function where sold shelving might block water flow.
  • Steel posts are constructed of 16 gauge carbon steel and are available in seven heights from 14" to 74" (in 10" increments). Posts feature numbered location grooves at 1" increments for quick assembly. Each post includes a zinc plated leveling bolt.
  • Standard shelves come in three depths (14", 18" and 21") and three widths (24", 36" and 48") that combine for nine sizes.
  • Durable chrome plating is National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) approved.
  • Our exclusive environmentally sustainable shelf liners are made from 100% recycled high density polyethylene (HDPE), a durable plastic resin used in milk jugs and other types of everyday packaging.

Weight Capacity

Individual shelves can support over 600 lbs. if the load is evenly distributed over the shelf. Overall stationary shelving units loads should not exceed 2000 lbs. and 500 lbs. for mobile shelving units on casters.

Safety Considerations

The more shelves a unit has the more stable it will be. Units over 44" high should have at least 3 shelves and preferably 4 or more. Place stationary shelving units on solid, level flooring. Level the unit by adjusting the leveling bolts included with each post. Install the bottom shelf as low as possible and place heavier objects on lower shelves. Never climb or stand on shelving. Distribute weight as evenly as possible on each shelf. Do not drop heavy items on shelves. Use caution when moving a mobile unit.

Failure to follow these instructions could result in personal and/or property damage.
